Omagh based company Terex Finlay proved to be one of the highlights at two recently held international trade shows -  Bauma International Trade Fair for Construction Machinery, Building Materials Machinery, Mining Machines, Construction Vehicles and Construction Equipment and Hillhead International Quarrying and Recycling Show.

The Bauma show which is held every three years at the Munich Trade Fair Centre in Germany attracted approximately 500,000 visitors from 190 countries around the world, with over 3000 exhibitors displaying their best and most recent construction equipment.

The Hillhead Show is held every two years at Tarmac’s Hillhead Quarry, Buxton , England and is the world’s largest working quarry show with
85,000m2 of showground and 450 leading international exhibitors.   Terex Finlay used these events to launch several new models which included – the track mounted C-1540 Cone Crusher and the I1310RS Impact Crusher. Both machines proved to be a major focal point at the shows and have bolstered Terex Finlay’s already impressive range of Crushing, Screening, Washing and Recycling equipment.   Nigel Irvine Sales and Marketing Director for Terex Finlay explains that:

“The development of a new Cone Crusher and a new Recirculating Crusher now gives us the ability to provide a full line of crushing equipment.   The addition of the C1540 and the I1310RS models puts Terex Finlay in the unique position of being the only major manufacturer in the world to offer a complete and complementary range of Crushing, Screening, Recycling and Aggregate washing equipment”

Terex Finlay employs over 400 people at its 400,000ft² manufacturing plant on the Drumquin Road , Omagh. Widely regarded as the pioneers of the mobile screening concept, the company, founded by John Finlay, now exports to over 80 countries worldwide, has an annual company turnover in excess of £75 million and has one of the most reputable Engineering and R & D departments in the global crushing and screening industry. Máiréad McNulty, Marketing Manager for Terex Finlay attributes the success of the company to a number of factors.

“Our research demonstrates clearly that alongside our reputation for innovation, a major point of difference for us in the marketplace is the robustness of our products and the resultant high residual values they generate. We have many examples of machines still being used after 30+ years. The company was founded and developed on the principle of supplying reliable, productive and cost effective machinery designed around customer’s needs. This philosophy is still as true today as it was then.” says Máiréad.

Now part of the $7 billion US Terex Corporation, Terex Finlay approach their 50 year anniversary with confidence.
With almost half a century of experience in the quarrying, aggregate and recycling industries and a reputation for engineering excellence, owners and operators are confident that Terex Finlay has a solution for their assignment, however large or small.
